The Battle of Clonmult took place on February 20th, 1921. IRA volunteers had occupied a remote farmhouse near Clonmult, County Cork and were ambushed by the British Army. In the action that followed, 22 people died. This is a musical response written after the 100th Anniversary.

The deep and strong key of B minor captures the intense ambush, and the chaos that ensues during the attack.

We often get ambushed in our lives. With good and bad events, loves and losses, the unexpected is part of life. You never know what is coming and how things will end up.
